RITA SOFEA WARLEIGH

A child in 1951, she shared the part of Lorry with Penny Lockwood in Thirty Pieces of Silver, a comment on McCarthyism by Howard Fast, directed by John Armstrong.

In 1999 Rita was one of four activists arrested for trespass at the Jabiluka uranium mine in the Northern Territory. She was involved in International Volunteers for Peace from 1988 and its CEO in 2014.

Rita Warleigh paid tribute to Denis Kevans following his death in 2005.
