Bob Pople was in a Workshop of The Little Man 1949, in the cast of We, the People 1950, played Higgins in a Workshop of Act 3 Pygmalion 1951 with his wife June as Eliza Doolittle, and contributed a script to Exposure 70 1970.
He was also involved with the WEA Players. In 1954 he and Arnold Butcher wrote the words and music of the WEA revue Let's Review It. At the WEA Studio Theatre Newcastle in 1955 he acted in The Alchemist, directed by Paul Herlinger, stage managed by June Pople, with Brian Vicary in the cast. June played Regina and Brian Vicary played Oswald in Paul Herlinger's production of Ghosts in 1954; June was reviewed as "delightfully offhanded" as Mimi and Paul Herlinger "witty" as Max in Anatol in 1955.
