Committees
New Theatre History Home | Previous: Administration
Various committees and sub-committees kept the theatre functioning over the decades: stage management, backstage, workshop, children's theatre, maintenance, premises, social. Overseeing operational and artistic matters were separate management and production committees who met fortnightly, sometimes deliberating until late at night. All members were unpaid volunteers.
The official position of President was created with the formation of the Workers' Art Club in 1932.
