CLIFTON STANLEY MOSSOP (ca 1906 - 1980)

Named as Clifford in some theatre programs, Cliff Mossop in 1932 played Gabriel in the Friends of the Soviet Union’s Inward Bound a three-act satire on the J C Williamson 1920s production Outward Bound by Sutton Vane. He played a boss Sweater in The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists 1933, and for the Workers Art Club acted in Nellie Rickie’s three one-act plays 1933, Major Barbara 1936, Till the Day I Die 1936 and Waiting for Lefty 1936. In 1935 he played a Negro in The House of Terror at Emerson Hall for the Studio Theatre Club.

Clifton Stanley Mossop was born in Chiswick, London, and migrated to Australia in the 1920s. He died on 21 June 1980 at Petersham.
